The Loop newspaper sponsored the Pie Baking Contest held on the Sunday of Apple Festival. Seven pies were submitted to be judged by the four celebrity judges, Police Chief Kent Kroeger, Tehachapi Arts Commissioner Laura Dreyer, Cheers to Charity Chairperson Mary Beth Garrison and City Councilman Michael Davies. The winning pie taking home the $50 first prize was made by Taylour Arami with the help of her husband Amir. A Second Place tie was shared by Cristy Westman and Heather Halloway, with third place going to Kimberly Rubi. A tasty time was had by all.
