Alice Jane Burkey, age 86, passed away peacefully August 29, 2021, with family members by her side. Our mother was born July 9, 1935, in Springettsbury, York, Pennsylvania to Edward and Edith Dellinger. She married our father, Gordon Lester Reever, November 29, 1958, who preceded her in death in 2017.
Jane was an amazing mother and friend. She was always there and willing to help in any way she could. She loved to cook, bake cookies for her grandchildren at Christmas time, spend time with her sister, fish, card craft, have lunch with her Red Hat friends and on occasion play a little Keno.
For many years Jane worked assisting and caring for others. She worked in the capacity of caretaker for homes, assisting families as a live-in care giver for a loved one who required 24/7 assistance. This was God's calling and gift to her. She wholeheartedly loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which was evident to those she knew and cared for.
Jane is survived by her brother and his wife, Fred and Fran Dellinger; sister and her husband, Shotzy and Bill Schulgen; two sons and their wives, Keith and Charlene Reever, Michael and Sherri Reever; grandchildren, Robert, Natisha, Austin, Brandon and Lynae; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jane will be missed by many, until we meet again in heaven.
