Planning for the highly anticipated community fundraiser, Cheers to Charity (C2C), is running full speed ahead, and the event is just around the corner on August 14. Sponsors are in place, Aviator Park is reserved, beer is brewed, food is ordered and the wine list is impressive!

"More tickets have been sold, by this date, than ever before. We know the Tehachapi community is ready for a fundraising night on the town," said Social Media Coordinator, Becca Dillenbeck.

C2C is an outdoor food, wine and beer fundraising event. 2021 marks the seventh year. "We work hard to bring great food, wine, beer and more to Tehachapi – for an amazing night on the town. While having fun, we're raising money for local nonprofits," said Cheers committee member Linda Carhart.

As a part of the fun, C2C is proud to host the only Home Brew Competition in Kern County. Attendees can taste and judge more than a dozen home-brewed beers – selecting the Event's Best Brew. It is a lot of fun and extremely popular," said Michael Dillenbeck, Home Brew organizer. Those who prefer wine, can join the "Brown Bag" event, whereby attendees guess the highest-priced wine from four offerings – poured from bottles wrapped in a brown bag. The winner takes home a bottle of the best.

Cheers to Charity not only supports area nonprofits, but the event also partners with local restaurants, wineries, breweries, coffee shops and printers to make the magic happen! Bolstered by local business sponsors, the group has already poured more than $250,000 back into the community.

2021 non-profit recipients are Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley, Cerro Coso Community College, Family Life Pregnancy Center and the Tehachapi Humanitarian Relief Group.

This year's sponsors include: BHE Renewables, Advantage Real Estate, Brookfield Renewables, Terra-Gen Operating Company, Supervisor Zack Scrivner, WWS, Columbo Construction, Bank of the Sierra, 8-Minute Solar, Sage Ranch, Mike and Lara Berard, Bruce and Chris Zigtema, Alta One Federal Credit Union, MK Health Coaching, Valley Strong Credit Union, The Tehachapi Apple Festival, Berchtold Equipment and The Loop newspaper.

Tickets are still available at http://www.Eventbrite.com – just $70 in advance, $75 at the door. The C2C team is planning an amazing evening on the town and can't wait to welcome guests back. Buy your ticket now, it is sure to sell out. Cheers to Charity – Tehachapi's best party with a purpose!
