Homesteading 103 Workshop

July 3, 2021

In this year’s Homesteading 103 Workshop, we will be teaching about food preservation.

Now is the time to learn how to preserve your hard-won produce from your gardens. We will cover three types of canning (steam, pressure, water bath), dehydration, fermentation and oil packing. There will also be a special presentation discussing common herbs, their uses and how to preserve them.

Join us on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a fun and informative day. The class is $100, is located in Tehachapi and includes lunch, recipes and handouts. Contact Gale at ggrassesprague@yahoo.com to sign up or for more information.

Reservations must be paid in full by July 31. Bring pen and paper to take notes. No children under 13 years old. Don’t delay as seating is limited so that all of our guests are able to enjoy their day.
