There will be three days of Independence Day Celebration in Bear Valley Springs, a gated community in the Greater Tehachapi Area. The three days will be Friday, July 2; Saturday, July 3; and Sunday, July 4. Special BVS 50th Anniversary Ceremony & Flag Raising on Friday evening, July 2. The 30th Annual Independence Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on the 4th. Hot air balloon rides are scheduled for July 3 and 4 at 6:30 a.m. The Firecracker 5K Run will be on July 3 at 7:45 a.m. Craft and activity booths, food and exhibit booths will be available at Cub Lake on July 3 and 4. Other activities include a moonlight movie on Friday evening, July 2, a car show on Saturday, July 3 and a Boat Parade and Paddle races on Saturday, July 3.
