Who doesn't like springtime? The weather turns warmer, the evenings start getting longer and flowers start blooming. It all sounds amazing! Unfortunately, with spring comes some unwanted "guests," too. Weeds, weeds and more weeds!

As if just normal weeds weren't bad enough, up here in Tehachapi we get foxtails. Lots and lots of foxtails! Weeds can cause dogs to itch and scratch but those darn foxtails can do some serious damage to your pup. Foxtails can get in your pet's ears, nose, eyes and mouth, which can cause some extensive damage.

One of the most interesting products in our store is called the Outfox Field Guard. The Outfox helps protect your dog's eyes, ears and nose from foxtail penetration while they go on their walks or wander casually around your backyard. At first glance the Outfox resembles a fly mask used for horses, but it is actually a full hood that goes over their head and is attached by the dog's collar. It still gives your pup the freedom of movement without the worry for you. While wearing the Outfox your dog is still able to drink, pant, sniff and play while all those pesky foxtails stay on the other side of the shield!

It may take a minute or two for your pup to get used to wearing the Outfox Field Guard, but in a short time they will be so caught up in their walk, they won't even notice it. We have all sizes in stock. To see what size your dog would wear, measure from the base of the back of their neck to the tip of their nose or come on in and we would be happy to find the perfect size for you! Canine Creek is located at 798 Tucker Rd., Ste. 5, Tehachapi. Feel free to call with any questions, (661) 822-0307.
