Tehachapi Natural Market is excited to announce their first outdoor event of the year: a music and food festival that will also include crafts from local artisans. "We had such a fantastic response to our 2 outdoor events last year," says market co-owner, Sarah Rose. "We've just been waiting for the weather to warm up to have another and that time has come! Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be the day for the festival."

You will see some of your favorite artisans and vendors but there will also be new talent. "I want to do something we haven't done before," Sarah says. "We will have Guero's Vegan Food cooking and serving vegan tacos and more. We checked them out when they were here at a local brewery and we were blown away with how good their food is. I knew we needed to have them at the market and they've agreed to come!" Check them out on Instagram @gueros_vegan.

No festival is complete without live music and that will be happening on the newly built patio. Owner, Teresa Dunlop's father, Walt Dunlop has graciously agreed to come over from Ventura to keep us entertained. Do you have some musical talent or know someone who does? Then be sure to show up with your instruments as there will be an open mic period as well.

Also on hand will be John Grisafe, a Ventura potter. Not only will he have his pottery pieces, he will do a hands-on pottery class for the kids. Grisafe Pottery has been a market favorite since day one.

For the more adventurous, we will have tattoo artist, Emmanuel Quezada, doing henna tattoos. Check out his work at Madrefesto Henna Tattoos on Facebook. Don't hesitate to make an appointment with him for the day of the festival so you don't have a long wait.

Mark your calendar and tell your friends! The place to be on May 15, 2021 will be Tehachapi Natural Market at 20221 W. Valley Blvd. in Old Town Tehachapi.
