Prefab is fab when on a budget

Prefabricated countertops can be a very viable option for the budget-minded home remodeler. These countertops involve minimal customization beyond color and texture, with each piece having been cut to certain standard dimensions, including mitered edges, before being delivered to the customer. This limits the options, but it also limits the resources required to create each piece and those savings are passed on to the customer.

Aside from the cost, installation of prefabricated (prefab) countertops tends to be much quicker and easier than installation for custom countertops. If you have a standard-sized space, you may save a ton of time, effort and money choosing a prefab design from our collection at Stockdale Tile and Flooring Center.

We feature prefab countertops in quartz and granite, both natural stone, as well as quartzite. Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally pure quartz sandstone. The sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure. Its use for countertops in kitchens is expanding rapidly since it is harder and more resistant to stains than some colors of granite. Quartzite provides the strength of granite and the look of marble. Stockdale Tile has access to a wide selection of sizes which are available within about four days after ordering.

Come in to our store at 20700 South St., Tehachapi, and look over our samples!
