It’s Girl Scout cookie time, however, this year in Tehachapi it will look a little different. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the four Tehachapi Girl Scout troops will, understandably, not be able to have a sales booth at their normal locations of Albertsons, SaveMart and Walmart.

However, when one door closes, another opens and the Girl Scout Troops have been blessed with other locations where they will be allowed to have booths until March 21. The Golden Hills Water District Office (GHCSD), located at 21415 Reeves St., is allowing them to have a booth on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Troops will be there on the following schedule: February 27 and 28 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 5 2 to 6 p.m., March 6 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 7 noon to 4 p.m., March 12

2 to 6 p.m., March 13 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 14 noon to 4 p.m., March 19 4 to 6 p.m., March 20 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 21 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additionally, The Shed is allowing the Girl Scouts to have a booth at their location, 333 E Tehachapi Blvd., from 2 to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, March 1, 2, 8, 9 and 15.

There are also plans to booth at Valley Oaks Charter School located at 20419 Brian Way on Fridays and Saturdays as scheduling allows.

All booth locations are drive-thru so there is no need to get out of your car. Just pull up and the girls will be happy to help you.
