Marion Barbara Brown.

Marion Barbara Brown, born August 31, 1931 in San Diego, California, passed away on December 30, 2020, in Tehachapi.

Marion departed our world in a peaceful sleep. She was 89 years old. Marion had been suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's, sundown syndrome, a broken hip and other health issues over the last few years. Marion, no longer suffering, has made her peaceful transition from our world to her home above.

Marion was born to her mother, Marion Porter Wolfe of Pennsylvania and father, James Paul Campbell from Scotland, and was raised in San Diego, California. Marion attended Catholic school through high school. For a brief time, she was a dental assistant. She married Harry Walter Brown in 1951, who passed away on June 5, 1993.

Marion and Harry raised eight children: James, Trisha, Michael, Lynn, Thomas, Joseph, Timothy and Raymond. Back in those days there were a lot of hardships and tough times, but they always managed.

After Harry passed, Marion moved to live in Tehachapi where most of her children resided. Having eight children, Marion was always proud of her 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. That is a lot of names to remember!

Marion will be remembered for her stories of the wars and growing up with her chickens and goats, as well as her passion to sing with the Summit Singers, playing the piano, sewing and gardening.

You will be truly missed, MAMA. All of our love, your children, families and friends forever. Your wings have carried you far. God Bless You. AMEN.

There will be a small private service on January 22 at the Tehachapi Westside Cemetery, due to COVID-19. You may visit after that date at the niche mausoleum.

Wood Family Funeral Service was entrusted with her care. For condolences, please visit http://www.woodmortuary.net.
