What's Up in Bear Valley Springs?

Thanksgiving was different this year. Extended family get-togethers were discouraged. And the Country Club was open with limited dining. We hope that by November 2021, this will all be behind us and life can return to normal.
The Cultural Arts Association regretted having to cancel the signature Thanksgiving Weekend Holiday Bazaar this year, as well as the Holiday Concert in early December. But, like other events, they have had to be put on hold.
As you entered the gate, recently, you would have seen some work in progress. Granite Construction has been there, cleaning out the culverts and drainage easements to avoid a flood like we have had in the past. This has been organized by the CSD. As well, the CSD has purchased the promised generators for two of our larger booster stations, as well as generators for two of our Cummings Valley well sites. Installation on the Cummings Valley wells should begin this month. Over the next four weeks we are expecting delivery of our five portable generators. These were largely funded by a grant.
And finally, the election of the CSD Board officers will take place December 10, with the two newest members taking their positions on the Board.
The Bear Valley Buckaroos have concluded their program for 2020, but look forward to beginning again in May 2021. The Buckaroos are dedicated to preserving their Western Heritage horsemanship through clinics, cattle practice sessions and play day practice sessions. There are fees for all events, as well as an annual $40 Buckeroo family membership fee. Check the Bear Valley Buckeroos Facebook page for contacts, application forms and where to submit them.
Don’t forget to walk our 1 1/4 mile nature path with parking at Beaubien Field. Please pick up after your dog and watch out for elk.
Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community in which the residents pay an annual association amenities fee. To participate in the above events, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
