As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause suffering throughout Kern County, The Rotary Foundation has stepped up to provide additional disaster relief.

The Rotary Foundation (TRF) has donated $6,240 to assist those in need of food within our region. This amount is in addition to the donation earlier this year of $9,036 provided by TRF and by the Rotary District 5240 Charitable Foundation for Kern County.

These new funds will be used to purchase food for those in need and will be delivered and administered by Community Action Partnership, Kern (CAPK). You will find important information about their highly regarded and trusted work at http://www.capk.org/programs/food-bank/.

Kern County Rotarians work hard to give back. Our motto "Service Above Self" is reflected in the efforts of The Rotary Foundation to care for those affected by this pandemic and to show that, even at a social distance, there are ways to help.
