Veterans Day 2020 events have been curtailed across the country including here in our town. However, the American Legion family in Tehachapi has come up with an alternative way to hold a veterans Day celebration. A drive-by parade is planned for November 11 as a way to honor our local Korean and Vietnam war veterans.
The American Legion Riders, joined by members of the VFW and the 5150 Dieselz truck club, will gather in the Kmart parking lot at 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m. the group will form a parade to visit local veterans. To add names of veterans to the parade route, call Linda Carmichael before Monday, November 9 at (661) 821-0493.
