The Bear Valley Springs Cultural Arts Association is a tax-exempt organization dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Bear Valley Springs and the greater Tehachapi area. All of our funding comes from our membership dues, event fees for those events that require reservations and the generous donations made by our members. For years we have sponsored concerts, art shows, a holiday bazaar, a holiday concert, scholarships and other cultural events to enrich the life of our community.
In addition to sponsoring these community events we also make annual donations to the Tehachapi Community Theater, the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra and the Tehachapi Pops Orchestra. For many years we have also offered music scholarships to talented young musicians in our community to help them pursue their education.
This year has been a difficult one for our organization. Our ability to offer our members cultural and artistic events has been halted by the pandemic. As our community donations occurred at the beginning of the 2020 year, our resources are seriously depleted. Those of us on the Board are hopeful that you will choose to make a small donation to Cultural Arts as we end this year. Next year, we hope to offer a full range of programs and plan to continue our work on behalf of our members and the community.
