Jennifer Leigh Williams (affectionately known as "Petes"), 55, of Tehachapi, Calif., passed away on Tuesday, June 9, after a long battle with auto-immune disease and chronic pain. She was born on April 14, 1965 in Panorama City, Calif. to Andre and Barbara Wetta.

Originally from Redding, Calif., Jennifer worked in the Antelope Valley as a Financial Consultant for 14 years. She opened her independent office, J. Williams Personal Financial Planning, Inc., in Tehachapi in 2008. Later that year, she also opened the beautiful Jennifer's Terrace Outdoor Event Venue. Jennifer was an accomplished professional, a successful entrepreneur and an active and cherished member of the Tehachapi community for 20 years. She was a member of the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Tehachapi and donor to the Tehachapi Community Theatre.

Jennifer was first and foremost a loving wife and selfless, caring mother. A fun-loving woman with an adventurous spirit, Jennifer had many interests. She enjoyed crafting, oil painting trees and landscapes, camping, astronomy, hiking, snow skiing and sipping wine at sunset. Her greatest passion was travel. Over the years, she experienced cultures from all over the globe. A few of her favorite trips were to Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy and Germany. She also visited many beloved domestic travel destinations such as Niagara Falls, Catalina Island and the Grand Canyon. Being a member of the Tehachapi Society of Pilots, Jennifer loved to fly. She and her husband enjoyed many day trips and cross-country travels to events like the Oshkosh Air Show.
