St. Jude's Anglican Church reopens for in-person services

June 20, 2020

St. Jude’s in the Mountains Anglican Church has reopened for in-person worship. Since the pandemic began St. Jude’s has been conducting live-streamed services via Facebook, but now we have begun allowing worship attendance as well.

Our Diocesan Bishop has mandated certain guidelines that we are following.  For example: masks are required and will be provided to those who don’t have one. Social distancing will be observed by seating arrangement (with the exception of family groups. Loud singing of hymns will not be permitted (except for worship leaders) and Communion will be bread only.  The after-service coffee hour is suspended.  Also strict cleaning protocols will be used. We know some of these measures are a challenge, but we want to be submissive to our Bishop, be in accord with State requirements and thoughtful of others in these difficult times.

Our Sunday service starts at 10 a.m. and a Wednesday evening prayer service starts at 7 p.m. Although worshippers may now attend in person, everyone can always join either service via live stream through our St. Judes in the Mountains Anglican Church Facebook page. We welcome all to attend our worship services by either method. Direct any questions to Fr. Wes Clare at (661) 822-3607.
