We've missed you!

June 6, 2020

We here at the Tehachapi Library have missed you! But the good news is we are starting a phased reopening that will begin early June! Our services will be a little different, but you'll be able to get books again as soon as June 17. If you have any books still out feel free to put them in our drop box, but the due dates have all been extended to July 2 to give everyone time to get their items back.

Starting Wednesday, June 3 you will be able to call us at the branch, and we will help you with requests, holds and signing up for summer reading. We will be in the building, but we will spend the next couple of weeks getting ready for our reopening. Starting June 17 we will be open for curb side pickup. This means you will be able to place holds for books via our online catalog, our valley cat app or call and have someone at the branch help you reserve books. Then you will be able to make an appointment to come and pick them up.

As of June 1, you will also be able to sign up for our summer reading program! We will be using the Beanstack app again this year, so you can sign up online. If you signed up last year you can use the same account. We will have a bunch of online activities and things like carry out craft kits that you can pick up at the branch when you use curbside service to get your books.

We won't be open to the public yet, but there will still be a bunch of exciting things happening at the Tehachapi Library this summer. If you have any questions, please give us a call at the branch at (661) 822-4938
