Public assistance request leads to arrest

On March 28 at about 2 p.m., the victim dropped his wallet in the Walmart parking lot located at 400 Tucker Rd in the City of Tehachapi. The suspect found the victim’s wallet and entered the store where she proceeded to make two separate purchases with credit cards belonging to the victim. Detectives obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and her vehicle from the location and requested the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Based on information obtained from the public in response to this request, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jacqueline Marie Guerrero, 36, of Lancaster and obtained a warrant for her arrest.

On April 25 at about 11 p.m., officers from the Tehachapi Police Department located Guerrero traveling in the Tehachapi area and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highline Road and Tucker Road.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered Guerrero was in possession of more than one ounce of methamphetamine, and a quantity of heroin as well as numerous credit cards, personal checks and other items indicating additional victims of identity theft.

Jacqueline Guerrero was arrested on various narcotics and theft related charges. She was transported and booked into the Kern County Jail.
