Therese Luther of Tehachapi bids farewell to her trusty steed, Chippy, which has transported her through three GranFondos and a slew of training rides. Chippy is being gifted to Paula Poole, a Bakersfield lady furloughed from the oil industry. In the 1990s Paula was part of the Kern Wheelmen racing team and wants to get back into the sport now that her unemployed status gives her plenty of time for training.
