Attend our church by phone
From the Pastor’s Desk
March 28, 2020
Greetings! I hope you are doing well. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic my church has shut down and likely will remain so for weeks to come. We are taking it one week at a time and simplifying what we do. I want you to know that even if you’re not a member of my church, you are welcome to join us in a weekly conference call at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We will simply gather, share some words of inspiration, pray and check in with one another to share love and support. If you would like to join in the call, please contact me at (661) 900-5536 and I will give you the details. I also plan to post a weekly piece of scripture with some comments, as well as a bit of humor and inspirational thoughts from other members on our Facebook page at Tehachapi UCC. You may also visit our webpage for more information at http://www.tcccucc.org. If you’re feeling alone stuck at home, please reach out to us.
As the weather warms, we hope to gather, 6 feet apart, for some prayer walks or outdoor worship. The poppies are beautiful this time of year! Love your neighbor by staying home if you can, or delivering groceries if you’re able. Thank you to all of our health care and essential service workers! You are heroes to us all, especially right now, and words can’t express our deep gratitude.
Try to maintain a healthy schedule and know that the Divine is present in the midst of our struggles.
