Tehachapi Academy of Dramatic Arts students performed their original play "Casper and the Haunted Mansion" on May 7, and audiences couldn't get enough of these talented kids.

Returning students love it so much, they didn't want this session to end. So it will continue, and you have a chance to join in the creativity.

As part of TADA's Theatre Creators Kids program, the students improvise, write and produce the original shows that they then perform. This production, which included ghosts, orphans, a haunted mansion, singing, cup instruments, magic and dogs "who always get to sleep inside," was held at Mountain Bible Church and included two showings.

"What better way to learn to act in the theater, learn team building skills and so much more ... than by actually building a show from scratch together every time," said TADA owner and teacher Dawnnie Mercado-Genochio.

TADA Studio is located at 301 S. Green St. in Downtown Tehachapi.
