Did you know there are more choices for dog and cat food other than kibble? If you have ever tried to look up pet food on the internet, you will find it is almost overwhelming. That's what we are here for! To help assist you in finding the right food for your pet. Like, people, all dogs and cats are different. What might work well for one pet, may not give the same benefits to another pet. In this month's article, we are going to look at Raw Food for your pets.
Yep, I said raw food! "What is that?" you may ask. We carry frozen and freeze-dried versions of a raw diet. One of the most popular brands in raw is Primal. They are based in Northern Calif. and manufacture human grade raw food. Many people choose to feed raw to their pets because it is similar to what they would be eating if they were in the wild. The food has protein, bones, organs, fruits, and vegetables. They have 6# bags of patties and 3# bags of nuggets that are kept in the freezer until they are ready to be thawed and served. The freeze dried version is perfect if you are traveling and on the go. Some customers choose to feed a full raw diet. This is great for small dogs, but I'm not going to lie, it can get rather pricey for the larger dogs. That's why some customers will use raw as a topper, or even as a treat. The pets still get benefits of the raw diet. Primal uses the highest quality of poultry, meat, game and only certified organic produce and supplements. Their products are made with human grade ingredients. And best of all, the ingredients to make the food is sourced from the United States of America and New Zealand.
