First Friday will be celebrated at Tehachapi Treasure Trove on Friday evening, Feb. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. Featured will be a Jewelry Jamboree... just in time for Valentines day. The Treasure Trove features 11 different jewelry makers creating a variety of jewelry from funky fun to serious pieces.

Andres Pena and Julian Romero of Superbia display their arrowhead necklaces and wood rings.
Bassema Korkor and Catherine Hammonds use polymer clay to create one of a kind necklaces and earrings. Ruthie Stockdale's crystal creations glimmer in the sunlight. Loraine Dodson uses beautiful beads to create more formal bracelets, earrings and necklaces while Deborah Paxton creates bib necklaces and chandelier earrings. Cathy Clark creates handcrafted copper and silver pieces. Boho and novelty jewelry are Mel White's specialty. Aromatherapy bracelets that absorb essential oils are a creation of Carol Knudson. A rock hound, Gloria Moore has located her own gems in the Kramer Hills and wire wrapped them for necklaces. Susanna Monette loom beads bracelets in the native American tradition. And then, of course, there is our resident jeweler, Mike Alari, who along with his staff makes custom jewelry, repairs, hammered rings and an ever widening circle of new designs.
With our 50+ vendors and artists, things are always changing at Tehachapi Treasure Trove, and First Friday is an excellent time to come on in and check out our uncommonly eclectic and unusually unique stuff, created by your friends and neighbors right here in Tehachapi. Tehachapi Treasure Trove is located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd., right across the street from the water tower in Railroad Park. Hours are daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
