Andi Hicks begins her rendition of "Santa Baby."
The annual Snow Ball sponsored by the Bear Valley Springs Women's Club was held at the Oak Tree Country Club Friday evening, Dec. 13. More than 50 BVS residents and guests celebrated with dancing and dining in a classy atmosphere created by lowered lights and tasteful holiday decorations. The three‑man band featuring Guy Martin on guitar, David Crowe on bass guitar, and Greg Hahn on drums mixed oldies rock, soft rock, country-western line dancing and salsa music to fill the dance floor with delighted singles and couples "cutting the rug".
Renn Amstead emceed for the second year and kept things moving with humorous riddles and groaners. Entertainment was provided by the Bear Valley Steppers, who captivated the crowd with their catchy choreography. Andi Hicks performed her version of "Santa Baby" updated for the older generation. Starting out in a bathrobe and sleep bonnet, she shed the oldster outfit to finish the song in the slinky red sequined gown and exquisitely coiffed hair of a professional entertainer.
Kudos to the Bear Valley Springs Women's Club for hosting a delightful holiday jamboree.
