Standing on a ladder at twilight is this young planet watcher. Viewing was free to all and short lines were seen at most all of the dozen or more telescopes set up for celestial viewing at Saturdays night Stargazing event at the Tehachapi Airport.

On Saturday, Oct. 5 the City of Tehachapi sponsored a stargazing night at Tehachapi Airport in honor of the anniversary of Project Apollo. Local enthusiasts, old and young, came out to view the heavens through very sophisticated telescopes.

No matter the size and power of the telescope the moon and nearby star clusters were popular viewing sites for gazers of our solar system.
