Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert, Sept. 22

The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Newby, will be performing on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Country Oaks Baptist Church beginning at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Country Oaks Baptist Church is located at 20915 Schout Rd., Tehachapi.

The program will begin with Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man and continue with fiddler/violinist, Jana Jae, joining the symphony to perform traditional fiddle music of various genres - old time, bluegrass, gypsy, Celtic,....

After the intermission, TSO will end the concert with Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, the New World Symphony.

This concert is sponsored in part by a grant from the Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation.
