What's Up in Bear Valley Springs?

August 17, 2019

The biggest deal right now in Bear Valley is the new procedures for the gate. It has gone electronic. A few hiccups have happened, as can be the case with new technology, but it will get worked out. Go to the CSD office with any questions.

One of our directors from the Association Board, Larry Thompson, is resigning and moving away with his wife, Beverly, a previous high school principal. They both will be sorely missed. The community wishes you the best in your new home, Larry and Bev.

Meanwhile, the Association Board has been looking for interested applicants for the vacancy. Applicants were to submit a brief statement of interest and why they should be considered for the spot. They must be a property owner, a member in good standing and not currently under member discipline. The deadline for statements of interest was Aug. 15 by 5 p.m. They would serve until June 13, 2020.

Don’t forget Movies by the Lake. They start at 8 p.m. approximately. See E-Buzz for upcoming movies. Bring your chairs and/or blankets and leave no trash behind.

Pickleball fans can now participate in an extra game on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.

Bear Valley’s own Colleen Farrell has opened an art gallery in Tehachapi. The Grand Opening was Aug. 2 on First Friday. Many of you will know Colleen from her art lessons at Triassic Winery. The location is 112A E. Tehachapi Blvd. Drop by and say hi. Better yet, invest in a piece of art.

Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community in which the residents pay an annual Association amenities fee. To participate in events in BVS, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
