Looking for a great way to beat the heat Aug. 17-18? Head over to Railroad Park for the Artisan Festival! Cool mountain-top weather, a welcoming water tower and those familiar white art-filled canopies under the shade trees at Railroad Park make for a fun filled weekend in Tehachapi! Join Tehachapi Valley Arts Association and Tehachapi Arts Foundation as they sponsor the 8th Annual Artisan Festival (previously called Handcraft Festival).
The festival is a great way to get out of the heat and celebrate art for a good cause. The event features 35 local artisans with unique handcrafted items. Proceeds from the event help fund high school art scholarships and art supplies for local area schools.
Take in the artwork and feast on delicious local baked goods, funnel cakes, hot dogs, chicken strips, fries, kettle corn, lemonade, shaved ice, coffees and smoothies from local food vendors. Participate in the Mystery Raffle while you’re there with FREE tickets from vendors you shop with.
