Iconic Kelcy's Restaurant, a long-time favorite with locals and visitors alike, will finally reopen on Mountain Festival weekend following two years of renovation. Beginning Saturday, August 17, Kelcy's will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The new owners, husband and wife team Bill Lee and Virginia Sheridan, will reopen Kelcy's with many of the most popular items that made Kelcy's famous as well as some new and healthy choices.

"Kelcy's has always been a special place to us and many others, and such a great part of the Tehachapi tradition." said Virginia, "We are excited at the chance to see many of the old customers."

The kitchen had to be totally upgraded and they saved all the old photos and memorabilia from the dining room. The photos were duplicated, re-framed and rehung with all of the originals archived. They hope to produce an album of the old photos sometime in the future.
