Mr. Bob at Jawbone Station Visitors Center.

Mr. Bob, the Friends of Jawbone mascot, is 121 years old. He has lived at the Visitors Center for the last 24 years.

Everyone loves and spoils him. He eats a variety of fruits and vegetables along with native plants. He is particularly fond of strawberries and grapes. However, his favorite is red and green leafy lettuce. After eating, he will nap or play depending on his disposition.

Mr. Bob takes his hosting duties very seriously. If he is awake, he will meet and greet you.

The Jawbone Station Visitors Center is located on Highway 14 at Jawbone Canyon Road in Cantil, Calif., approximately 20 miles north of Mojave at 28111 Jawbone Canyon Rd., Mojave, Calif. The center is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed for lunch from 1 to 1:30 p.m. The Vistors Center can be contacted at (760) 373-1146 and found online at http://www.jawbone.org.
