At their June 10 meeting, the Tehachapi Planning Commission approved the construction of a new Kern Schools Federal Credit Union building. The 2,672-square-foot building will be located adjacent to Tehachapi Blvd. on Parcel 2 of Walmart's four peripheral outlots. The proposed architectural design includes colors and stone elements currently used in the Walmart building and also complimentary to Kern Schools and City of Tehachapi guidelines.
