Comic-Con at the Tehachapi Library, June 15

Join the summer kick-off party for kids, teens and adults with a comic-con event at the library. It is officially sponsored by Crunchyroll, an official distributor and publisher of Anime, on Saturday, June 15 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Exhibitor tables will include local artists who have drawn for Batman: The Animated Series, those who have published their own comics and more.

Also enjoy cosplayers and an art gallery featuring local artists who have drawn for Disney, the Simpsons, Fox, Warner Bros, etc.

There will also be a Scavenger Hunt with prizes, free comic book giveaways and SWAG from Crunchyroll. Also sign up for our Summer Reading Program.

Bonus: Come see a special video-taped message specifically for Tehachapi from Sir Ian McKellen.

From 1 to 2 p.m .: Free hot dogs provided by Red House BBQ.


From 2 to 2:30 p.m .: Costume contest.

From 2:30 to 4 p.m .: Games and contests with prizes for kids, teens and adults.

The Tehachapi Library is located at 212 South Green St. and is open Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more summer programs at the library see page 22.
