Tehachapi Mountain Roller Hockey has been making preparations for the upcoming 2019 season and evaluations have been set for the weekend of May 4 and 5.

TMRH is a nonprofit, travel club team that practices in Tehachapi but travels to places like Calabasas, Hollywood, Santa Maria, etc., to play in a summer series of roller hockey tournaments. Age divisions range from 4 to 16 years old; prior skating or knowledge of hockey is not required.

All players will be placed on a team in their proper age group and will be able to improve through weekly practices and scrimmages, however, coaches will select a traveling roster to attend the summer series tournaments. The traveling portion is not required and if you would like to stay local to learn the game of hockey or improve your skills, we encourage that. The season typically runs from May through August.

Last year our club had five teams with a total of 52 players and overall all the teams had tremendous success in the summer series tournaments. The 6U saw tremendous growth in skating from a group with almost no hockey experience, the 8U made their way into every championship game obtaining victory in half of them, the 10U went undefeated in all of their tournaments, the 12U group picked up a huge tournament win in Calabasas, and the 16U rallied and battled every tournament despite having a very short bench. Also, for the first time in club history all five of our age divisions swept the championship games in the same tournament which made for a very exciting weekend!
