Have you ever been stuck trying to think of a unique theme for an adult or children's party; or perhaps you just need more party space for your event? Picture Perfect Parties can help you with that.

Although the Picture Perfect Parties Photo Booth has been seen around town for much of last year, they will be celebrating the Grand Opening of their party space located at 20601 Hwy. 202, Ste. A103 on Jan. 28. Everyone is invited from 4 to 6 p.m. to help them celebrate. The Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.

Although they now claim to be retired, owners Deidre and Dennis Venable say they have been a team for 42 years. They owned a quick lube service in Bakersfield for 18 years and a pool cleaning service before that. They have been Tehachapi residents for 15 years.

"This is supposed to be our retirement business," said Dennis. But, as with their other businesses, he and Deidre never do anything half way. They have now been joined by their daughter Margaret and son-in-law Johnny, owners of Incrediprints, who print their T-shirts and help with photography and graphic design.

"We spent most of our first year promoting," said Dennis, "mostly word of mouth, Facebook and Instagram. We're doing it in phases."

Picture Perfect's Photo Booth remains one of their most popular features. They unveiled the photo booth at last summer's South Street Days wanting to give it a six-month trial. Unlike the usual photo booth that holds one or two people, their booth can squeeze in a large group decked out in the various decorative attire the company supplies if desired.

"We now have two booths," said Dennis, "and we wore out our first printer... We sometimes print as many as 180-220 photos [at a party]."

Last year the photo booth showed up at many Chamber ribbon-cuttings.

Picture Perfect Parties can now do it all, no matter what kind of party or event you have planned. Other than birthday parties, they suggest Movie Night on their large screen, baby showers, meetings, gender reveal parties and kids crafts.

"We'll come to you or you to us," said Deidre. "The possibilities are endless."

Deidre said they are always adding activities. Most recently they have added peel and stick sand art to the list that includes color and print on a shirt, face painting, scarves and movies. During one recent holiday party they made snow to go with the movie "The Polar Express."

Currently the local BNI (Business Network International) group meets weekly at their party space.

During the holidays, their BNI group made cookies for kids that were picked up at Woods Pavilion and distributed through other BNI groups. As a result, BNI was able to make a $600 donation to the Salvation Army.

Drop by Picture Perfect Parties during their Grand Opening for a chance to win either a boy's or girl's bicycle and while you're there, check out all the party packages available from basic space rental, which is available in two hour blocks, to the planning of a complete event of your choice. They want everyone to know that they work with all local caterers and services to help make your party one to remember. They can be contacted at (661) 823-1240.
