Derby Downs Cart Races
Come out and join the Stallion Springs Police Activities League on Nov. 3 for some racing fun at the Derby Downs Cart Races. Register by Oct. 19 at the CSD for just $20 and receive a free T-Shirt. The first race will begin at 9 a.m. Racers must arrive no later than 8 a.m. Racers must be 5 years of age or older and bring their own helmet. Hotdogs, chips and sodas will be available for purchase.
Community Church Harvest Party
A Harvest Party will be held on Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stallion Springs Community Church. Fun and games for all ages will be held and vendors will be selling their wares. Food will also be available. Come, bring friends and meet other members of the community for an afternoon of fun.
Trunk-or-Treat
Parks and Recreation, along with the POA and PAL will be holding this annual event on Oct. 31 in the Community Center parking lot. Costumed youngsters will be able to comb the parking lot trick-or-treating from trunk-to-trunk. There will be a haunted hallway, and other free fun and games inside the gym.
Join in handing out candy in the parking lot. Just purchase several bags of wrapped candy, decorate your vehicle in Halloween attire, park on the lot by 6 p.m. and be prepared to get spooked by all the ghosts and goblins starting at 6:30 p.m. Join the old fashion way in celebrating Halloween.
Neighborhood Watch
The next meeting of Neighborhood Watch is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the CSD Board Room.
CERT
Wednesday, Nov. 7
• Monthly Training in the Stallion EOC at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will act as a debriefing of Gran Fondo and Stallion Oktoberfest.
POA
The Property Owners Association is preparing for its annual Chili Cook Off, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 10. There will be prizes, a bake sale and wine and beer will be available.

If you have a life threatening emergency call 911. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer contact the CSD at (661) 822-3268. Appointments maybe canceled at any time due to limited police staffing
Stallion Springs Board of Directors
The Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in the CSD Board Room.
