New manager of acute care services joins Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley leadership team

Alida Lorenz, a registered nurse experienced in critical care nursing and neurocritical care, has joined the Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley leadership team, hospital president Jeff Lingerfelt announced this month.
In her new role as manager of acute care services, Lorenz oversees education, the medical/surgical unit and the new hospital's planned intensive care unit.
"I'm really excited to become part of the Adventist Health family and be part of something as monumental for this community as a new hospital opening," Lorenz said.
Lorenz comes to Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley after serving as neuroscience program manager and nursing house supervisor at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. She brings with her a wealth of experience in patient care, neuroscience and overall operations of nursing services.
"We're proud to have somebody with Alida's level of experience helping to care for our friends and neighbors here in Tehachapi," Lingerfelt said.
Earlier in her career, Lorenz served as a stroke program coordinator and clinical charge nurse at El Camino Hospital Los Gatos.
She is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society and serves on the Kern County Concussion Consortium, an ongoing collaborative focused on improving the health and safety of Kern County athletes by improving prevention of traumatic brain injuries.
Lorenz was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, and plans to live in Tehachapi with her husband and three kids. On her off time, she enjoys hiking, camping and off-roading.
