Tehachapi locals enjoy a girls outing of Goat Yoga, along with local instructor Tina Warren-Diaz leading the class.

Mullenax Ranch of Tehachapi is introducing their mobile goat yoga program with baby Nigerian Dwarf Goats, a miniature breed of dairy goat. With classes in Tehachapi and throughout the state, including such events as "Goat Yoga & Wine" and "Goats & Grilled Cheese" there's enough to "goat around."

Goat Yoga is a beginner-level yoga class, where goats walk and play at-will around participants. They use certified instructors local to the area. The ranch utilizes baby goats from their miniature herd's breeding and dairy program which is a great way to match future homes with those babies not retained by the ranch with loving families on their waitlist.

Upcoming Tehachapi events take place Friday, July 20 at 6 p.m. at Philip Marx Central Park for Goat Yoga and Aug. 11 10:30 a.m. at Moessner Farms for a "Goats & Grilled Cheese" event. A "Goat Yoga & Wine" session will be with Triassic Vineyard this summer as well (ages 21+). Reservations are required and space is limited, so be sure to sign-up online ahead of time via the website. Yoga mats are provided for each class.

Great for family, friends, team building or flying solo, Goat Yoga is a fun and family-friendly activity full of smiles and some definite laughter. Meet the goats at other activities such as the Tehachapi Farmers Market where the ranch sells their goat milk soap every Thursday through Aug. 16.
