The Tehachapi Mountain Roller Hockey (TMRH) Falcons are a nonprofit organization and are the only youth travel roller hockey club in Kern County. The Falcons travel across Southern California over the summer months competing in tournaments with teams ranging from 6-years and under through 16-years-old. The Falcons draw in about 50 kids from our community to participate in roller hockey each season. These kids have even competed in the AAU Junior Olympics.

Unfortunately, over the years the current rink in town has fallen into disrepair, and the teams are unable to host tournaments at their home rink. The Falcons would love to be able to invite Southern California teams to compete in some mountain hockey in our amazing hometown! Two years ago, the TMRH club installed a new board of officers dedicated to bringing the rink up to standards where the teams can play safely, tournaments can be hosted and spectators can enjoy the games. In just two years, the club has raised about $20,000 through the support of our hockey families and this community. Although they have made great progress, the club is still about $10,000 away from its goal of $30,000 to begin necessary rink upgrades.

This year, the TMRH Falcons will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets at the "All American 4th of July Festival" held at Philip Marx Central Park from 8 to 4 p.m. and at Coy Burnett stadium from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the fireworks display. We hope to see you all at the festival!

Tax deductible donations can also be made to: Tehachapi Mountain Roller Hockey, PO Box 1891, Tehachapi CA 93581. For questions about the TMRH Falcons organization and our goals, contact Mark Hitt at (661) 431-9240.
