On May 17, 2018 the Tehachapi Police Foundation hosted the 2nd annual Thin Blue Line Banquet at the Rose Garden Estates, honoring members of the department for their outstanding achievement over the past year.

"The City of Tehachapi has seen crime reduction thanks to the hard work of the men and women who make up our department," said Chief Kent Kroeger in his remarks to the audience.

The Officer of the Year, Civilian of the Year, Explorer of the Year and Volunteer of the Year were all selected by their peers and all were unanimous selections. Money raised from the banquet supports the Tehachapi Police Department and scholarship programs.

Officer Mike Adams was selected Officer of the Year. Lindsay Booth was selected as Civilian Employee of the Year. Mark Machanic was selected Volunteer of the Year. Caymen Aguirre was selected the Explorer of the Year.
