Tehachapi Symphony May concert

Tehachapi Symphony Music Director and Conductor David Newby, at their May Concert performed at Country Oaks Baptist Church.

The May concert by the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra included the Tehachapi Symphonic Chorus and the Antelope Valley Master Chorale. Their selection was Joseph Haydn 'Te Deum in C major, Hob, XXX111 c:2.

Guest performer violinist Alexander Bailey.

The featured artist at the May 6 concert was 16 year old violinist Alexander Bailey. Alexander recently won the 2018 Young Artist Competition, is a Junior at Stockdale High School and also performs as an orchestra member with the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, as time allows.

The traditional raffle drawing done during intermission was exciting and produced a $1000 winner, Karen Melford, who recently moved to Tehachapi purchased the winning ticket.

The afternoon concluded with Ludwig Van Beethoven 'Symphony No.3 in E-flat Major (Eroica), Op,55. Done in 4 movements.
