The ladies at The Loop were lucky to meet the staff at Bellissima Medical Aesthetics after being invited by Jay Thompson to "Wine, Women and Wealth" in April, 2017. We were among the presenters as was Rosibel Hurst owner of Bellissima who has an amazing story being a successful woman in business.
We paid a visit to her business and received a comprehensive consultation on what they have to offer that would fit us and our lifestyle. There are so many new non-surgical procedures that it is great to be able to have a safe environment with a delightful office and nursing staff to give us the knowledge to make excellent choices.
I have noticed over the last six months that every procedure they have suggested has been tried and actually liked by the staff, as they offer personal testimony. They give me a feeling of confidence that whatever I try I will be happy with the result. So with that in mind I am planning to try NovaThreads next year, a non-surgical facelift procedure.
I found the following information from the NovaThreads website (novathreads.com):
NovaThreads
NovaThreads are hypodermic needles preloaded with a PDO absorbable suture.
This synthetic absorbable surgical suture is composed of polydioxanone. PDO sutures are used to perform cardiothoracic surgery (such as open-heart surgery). It's one of the safest materials to be implanted in the body. Your skin fully absorbs it within 4 to 6 months and won't leave you with any scar tissue.
NovaMesh
NovaMesh, consists of creating a mesh under the skin (i.e. two sutures inserted vertically and three sutures horizontally). Sort of like a hashtag(#), or a net. This Mesh will serve as the foundation for new collagen production. The NovaMesh tightens the skin naturally from within. Results appear naturally, without any drastic change!
NovaLyft
Another technique, called the NovaLyft, is used to produce a more dramatic and immediate result. The PDO sutures have "barbs" or "cogs", which provide a grip underneath the skin. Sutures are inserted the same way, except they can be pulled in one or two directions, creating an instant skin repositioning. Just like the NovaMesh, the skin will then build new collagen which will secure the lift!
