Pilot Flying J Travel Center now open

Located on the corner of Tehachapi Blvd. and Steuber Rd., Tehachapi's new Pilot Flying J Travel Center finally and quietly opened on Saturday, Dec. 2. Originally scheduled to open in October, signals, islands and road construction delayed the opening for over a month.

Tehachapi residents have been awaiting the opening of the center including Cinnabon, known for their decadent cinnamon rolls smothered in frosting, and Tehachapi's first Wendy's. The new Wendy's includes a drive-thru window. PJ Fresh marketplace offers premium coffee and cappucino, pizza and other fresh food and convenience store items. The building is 14,788 sq. ft. and the surrounding parking area can handle up to 104 trucks and 70 cars. A mural on the front of the building lets all know that they are in Tehachapi. Truck drivers will enjoy the inclusion of showers, a driver's lounge and game room in addition to truck scales and room for overnight parking.
