Mountain Bible Church presents their first annual Pumpkin Patch

September 2, 2017

Mountain Bible Church is hosting a community fundraiser, open daily from Oct. 17 through the 31. The patch will be open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - Dusk (about 6:30 p.m.) and Sundays Noon- Dusk.

All the pumpkins are NON-GMO and grown on a farm on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, U.S.A., so much of the proceeds from the patch go right back to the more than 25 full-time and 550 seasonal Native American employees who grow these pumpkins. Mountain Bible Church will use the profits from the patch toward their Children’s and Youth Ministry Community Outreach projects, like the Church’s food bank for local Tehachapi area families.

Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is FREE to everyone where you:

• See and touch hundreds of Pumpkins and Gourds from numerous varieties,

• Gather around for a Children’s Pumpkin Story every day at 5:30 p.m. sharp (designed for children ages 2-7, but ALL are welcome),

• Take [hotos with family and friends in a seasonally decorated spot,

• Jump in a Bounce House or on the Hop Balls through the patch,

• Take Hay Rides behind a John Deere Monday- Friday evenings between 5 and 6:30 p.m. and throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays,

• Eat some free popcorn!!!!!

Pumpkins and interesting Gourds are available for sale at prices ranging from $1- $50 per item, and these are the only things for sale in the patch. The patch will be clearly visible on the corner of VALLEY and MOUNTAIN VIEW, adjacent to Mountain Bible Church parking lot, for easy parking.

On Oct. 31, 2017 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m., after the final close of the pumpkin patch fundraiser, the fun will continue as Mountain Bible Church will hold a “Harvest Festival Party” for young children through middle school age. This will be a family-friendly environment and all are welcome. There will be carnival games, hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, a cake walk, a pumpkin decorating contest, and Prizes, Prizes, Prizes, as well as a Trunk-or-Treat! Party Admission is Free, but we do request a donation of one or two cans of food, whatever you can donate.

Mountain Bible Church invites everyone to come and enjoy their Pumpkin Patch, and know that any money spent will ultimately be used for good causes, some far from home and others right next door. They also invite you to come to the Harvest Party because it will be fun and they are hoping to get many, many cans of food to give to others in our community long after the fun of the party evening ends.
