Henry's Home For Less closing

Twenty-three years ago Henry Schaeffer opened the doors of Henry's Home for Less to help meet our small town's growing home improvement needs. A few years later he was joined by his son, Henry, and together they worked tirelessly serving their loyal customers and hunting down great deals to pass along to their patrons. Through the years the folks who walked through the door became so much more than customers, many of them became dear friends. The stories swapped while waiting for a gallon of paint or hunting down the right washer in the bolt aisle could fill a few volumes of old timer history and wisdom clear to the brim. Through ups and downs, economic downturns and retail giants opening next door, their faithful customers and friends have supported them, and have always been the reason for turning on the lights another day.

So it is with heavy hearts that they announce their plans to close their doors for good on December 31. After his father's retirement a few years back, Henry II has decided it's time to close the store to follow other pursuits. While there's plenty about the store that he and his father will miss, more than anything it will be serving you, the good folks of Tehachapi, that will be missed the most.

The store is chock-full of decades worth of inventory and it all has to go. The liquidation sale will start at 25% off store wide on Sept. 5 and continue with deeper discounts until Dec. 31. They'll be unearthing more inventory from their deep stock all the time so be sure to check back often. Come on in for better deals than ever. As always, they will look forward to seeing you.
