On Thursday June 1, the kindergarteners from Golden Hills Elementary delighted their parents, families and friends with a "Dancing with the Stars" event at Jacobsen Middle School's gymnasium. Six different kindergarten classes with their respective teachers dressed up in themed outfits and put on a dance performance for about 150-200 audience members, consisting of family and friends. The kids performed several dance numbers, and everybody had a great time enjoying the performances.

Kindergarten teachers Theresa Morrow, Stacie Williams, Mikal Mends, Carrie Moser, Jennifer Butler and Kim Ross led their respective dance teams, each team wearing a different themed costume. Golden Hills Principal Kendra Bailey praised the teachers for the tremendous amount of extra time they put in giving the kids an opportunity to perform for their loved ones. She said "These teachers have dedicated countless hours of their own time over the school year helping the kids perform in plays and musicals. It's obvious they do it for the love of the kids, and to give them the opportunity to have fun while learning performing arts."
