Relay for Life Survivor Social brunch set for May 20

The Relay for Life Survivor Social Celebration returns this year on Saturday, May 20 and will be held at the beautiful Woods Pavillion at 323 W. F Street, downtown from 10 a.m. to noon. The Survivor Social honors the many incredible Strong Survivors in our community.
This free, fun and festive pre-Relay event is presented by the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Tehachapi Committee. It is possible in part with our first sponsor, Agia Pharmacy & Café, with more to follow.
We invite Survivors, whom have endured so much, to come out and connect with other Survivors. Allow us the honor to celebrate you, with fun activities, scrumptious food and prizes.
A few tables will be reserved for caregivers, nurses and doctors, whom supported us all through our journeys! This year, there will be a table setting honoring loved ones who have left us and a table honoring pet survivors, incorporating Bark for Life’s mission. Unfortunately, about 30% of Tehachapi’s pets go through cancer treatment at our local veterinarian offices.
“A closed Facebook Group “Survivors Strong Tehachapi” has been created. We invite Tehachapi Survivors to join to continue to connect and support one another,” shared Sally Thoun, this year’s Survivor Chair.
Survivors can register for the 2017 Relay and receive their new shirts at the Social, to wear at Relay and in the Survivor’s Tent, on July 8 at Meadowbrook Park.
RSVPs are preferred (walk-ins always welcome.) Registration forms (with required shirt sizes) and Luminaria bags for $15 can be picked up at:
