The "Little Library" is free for the public to use. Place a book and take a book is the concept to promote literacy. "We are happy to support our young future leaders and this was a project that benefits the community," said Greg Garrett Tehachapi's City Manager.

Orion Teare is a member of Tehachapi Boy Scout Troop 78. Final installation by Teare took place one hour prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony.
