Hear ye, hear ye! The Tehachapi Loop Railroad Club is pleased to announce that on April 8 and 9, 2017 they will be hosting their spring model train show at the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District Aspen Builders Inc. Activity Center, located at 410 West "D" street in Tehachapi. The hours of the most amazing festivities the city of Tehachapi will offer this spring will be from 10 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 8 and 10 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Best part of it all is it is free to attend! That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's free to attend! So bring one, bring all, and bring Grandma with the kitchen sink if you can! The club will be hosting the Lancaster and Northwestern G Scale Club and their modular G Scale layout and the Nevada Southern N Scale Modular Club's layout, in addition to Tehachapi Loop Railroad Club's own HO layout headed by Wilson James, N-Scale Layouts provided by Chris Howard, a Z Scale train layout in a suitcase displayed by Marlan Woodside, and a wooden train play-set provided by Rex Welker that kids of all ages are free to play with while their parents and older siblings partake in the train fare. Also the club will have a consignment table offering train related items for sale managed by the legendary Ann Tuma. The amazing Maureen Cornyn will be heading up our promotions table selling train souvenirs, club t-shirts, hats and great gift related items for all. Located across from the promotions table, there will be a bake sale table offering various treats and bottled water for sale during the show. There will also be a raffle for a free 6 month membership and 6 piece Thomas the Train basket of goodies for a special little engineer. All proceeds from the promotions, raffle, bake sale table, and any donations will go to offset the cost of the show. Also, there will be various vendor tables including the Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum. So pack the kids video games away for the weekend and head on down to the Aspen Builders Inc.
