Thirty EMB Martial Arts students competed at the 6th annual Golden Empire Karate Championships in Bakersfield on March 4. They competed in Kumite (Fighting) and Kata (Forms) against some of the most competitive schools in the San Joaquin Valley. Bringing home 13 Third Place, 11 Second Place, and 11 First Place awards. Sensei Bill Laninovich and Sensei Carlos Paredes strongly believe that competition against other Martial Arts schools is vital to the development of confidence and skill of the martial arts student.
