Members of the Tehachapi Lions Club distributed over 550 mini flags to first grade students at Tompkins Elementary School, Golden Hills Elementary School and Cummings Valley Elementary School during the month of February. This is an annual project of the Lions and is done in conjunction with President's Day. Not only do the students receive flags, but they also hear about the history behind the flag and receive a demonstration on the proper way to fold a flag.
